Statista Research Department surveyed developers globally to find out how old they were when they wrote their first line of code. Most started between the ages of 8 and 17 years. The study shows that around 70 percent of developers start coding before turning 18 years old. Starting with visual programming like Scratch at age 8 provides an excellent foundation!

"Teaching kids to code is just as important as teaching them any other language and the earlier they start learning it, the better."

FAQs

What will I need for the course?

The ideal setup is one large screen split in half - one side for the lesson, one side for coding. No large monitor? No problem - a laptop and tablet combination works perfectly too. We'll walk you through the simple setup process so your child can focus on learning.

I'm a parent, how can I track my child's progress?

Our courses are "project based" meaning that your child will develop a portfolio of accomplishments to demonstrate their progress.

What if I miss a lesson?

Lesson recordings are provided if a student was to miss a lesson.
